June 2022 - July 2024 Through the project, I delved deeper into my family's history, especially the memories of my mother who passed away. At the end of November 2011, my mother suddenly left the house due to financial troubles. From then on, our communication was limited to phone calls. A month later I received a message from her, telling me where she was and her updated condition. Even though I promised to visit her after my graduation, fate had other plans: my mother died in April 2012 in her sleep. In 2022 I started the project by collecting the artifacts and family photos she left behind. Along with time, the project became a documentation of our story reflecting on how we as siblings agreed that mother was our favorite person. Yet, we never truly knew her. The primary motivation behind initiating this photographic project was to embark on a personal therapeutic journey, to facilitate communication among the bereaved members of my family, and to archive both individual and collective memories. Consequently, the ultimate objective of this photo project is to produce a publishable photobook that can contribute to the diversity of personal narratives. The scholarship funds I receive will be allocated towards developing this photo project into a publishable book that can be marketed to the public. Goals: * Produce at least 100 photographs ready for sequencing. * Publish the photo project as a photobook. * Launch the photobook * Conduct book discussions. * Galerry exhibition
