Start date: January 2026 – End date: June 2026 Horas Mías (Hours of Mine) is a multimedia project exploring memory and its gradual loss through my grandmother’s diary, written in her final years and marked by Alzheimer’s. Using the family photographic archive, I intervene images with collage, painting, and embroidery to reconstruct narratives where real, forgotten, and imagined moments coexist. The project reflects how memory blurs, and how personal recollections coexist with inherited stories, also addressing women’s roles in domestic life and aging. Diary fragments are paired with a glossary of 29 words and ceramic objects representing domestic items from her life and my childhood. Photographed, these objects integrate into the visual narrative, creating a dialogue between memory, materiality, and storytelling. The project is in an advanced stage. I am beginning the editing and design of a first book prototype. The scholarship will support test prints, adjustments, and production of final photographic prints, leading to the publication of the book. Goals: 1. Complete the design and editing of the book. 2. Produce and photograph the remaining ceramic objects. 3. Create and refine 2–3 prototypes with test prints. 4. Produce final photographic prints for the book. 5. Prepare the project for dissemination through both book and exhibition.
